Recover Deleted Files

Can you really recover deleted files from the Recycle Bin ????

A big question though, once a file has been deleted from the Recycle Bin, you cannot see it again. It becomes hard to find that file. But many of the data recovery companies claim to do so. Those companies provide users with data recovery software and data recovery services to recover deleted files.

Memory of the computer system stores data in binary form i.e. 10101101010101,  this format is the computer language which is difficult to be understood by human beings (though developed by humans only!). Data is allocated on sectors of the drive in this form and remains there till memory doesnot overwrites or deletes it to create space for new data. The sectors of the drive are then scanned extensively by the data recovery software which in result displays you the recovered files.

To recover data,  companies develop result oriented data recovery software. The files which are permanently deleted from the recycle bin are recovered with these data recovery tools. Reason behind developing such recovery tools is to provide users with a  hope that the deleted data can be recovered back.

Data Recovery Mode – File Trace

Data Recovery Mode - File TraceFile Trace data recovery mode of RecoveryFix™ for Windows is the third and last recovery mode in the data recovery software. This data recovery mode takes more time than others for data recovery.

File Trace is the data recovery mode which takes its time in scanning and searching for data residing on your hard drive. This data recovery mode searches for data in every sector of the hard drive and then recovers data from it. The long time being taken by the mode is due to extensive scanning the sectors of hard disk for data.

File Trace recovery mode recovers data from:

  • Corrupt Partitions
  • Damaged Partitions
  • Virus Contaminated Partitions
  • Files which were not recovered with “Quick Scan” and “Extensive Scan” data recovery modes
  • Deleted files which are saved on continous sectors of the hard drive

The recovered data or results are displayed in a tree like structure where you can view the file and its content too.

Always remember that nothing should be tried on the corrupt drive as it will overwrite the original content from the drive !!!!
